The love story started thanks to the help of Emily's college friend and Chris's cousin, Tiffany. Initially, Chris had suggested meeting up for coffee after work; but, smarter heads (Emily's) prevailed and they met for dinner at Ootoya. After their blind date, love was in the air. They both continued to meet for lunches in Bryant Park over the following days and weeks. Dates to Central Park for concerts and Shakespeare plays. NYC Restaurant Week dinners at too many places to list. Visiting Grounds for Sculpture and pretending to be statues on a bench. About a month later, Chris asked Emily to spend July 4th weekend with him in Vermont. Emily then asked Chris to go with her on vacation to Croatia. Their love continues to grow as they share the same passions for food and travel.
The setup was a mini getaway trip to Vermont. Chris planned to take the lift up to the top of Mount Snow for a nice picnic; but, as with all good proposal plans there was a hitch. The lifts were not operating that day! Instead, they took a 2+ hour hike to the summit. A true test of endurance and love. Once they were at their "spot" and caught their breath, Chris asked who had made the bet about a proposal in Vermont, because they had won. He then pulled out the ring and proposed!
They then had to walk back down the mountain.
We would both like to give special thanks to Tiffany for introducing us. Because of her, we are able to experience so much love and joy. Thank you Tiff, we love you!
Thanks also go to our parents for their continuing love and support. Thank you Mom and Dad!

St. Peter the Apostle ChurchJennifer and Emily are cousins and sisters in spirit. They've grown up together and supported each other in everything. Emily always knew that she would ultimately ask Jennifer to be her Maid of Honor.
Tiffany and Emily met senior year at Rutgers. They had an amazing adventure travelling around India; eating the food and experiencing the culture. She is responsible for introducing Emily and Chris to each other.
Deborah and Emily also met during senior year at Rutgers. They share a common love for strawberry picking and super hero movies. She has been a great source of help for wedding planning!
Roger and Chris both attended Rutgers and initially met as rivals over differing car loyalties. This rivalry slowly gave way to a friendship involving car racing and working on them. They now also share a common wedding anniversary. (Be sure to wish Roger and Kaoru a happy first anniversary!)
Kennith is Emily's favorite brother and soon to be Chris's brother-in-law. Chris is happy to be able to call him family and can't wait to snowboard with him in the future.
Joe and Chris also met at Rutgers and for awhile participated in SCCA Auto-X every weekend. They share a common love of Subaru and the annual Feast of the Piggies. Joe is also an avid photographer and has a collection of cats named after food.
